This film festival features obscure but desirable films that are not screened by many of the city's other mainstream theaters. Approximately 100 feature films and 50 shorts and documentaries are slated; among them are first-time showings in Chicago and a number of directorial debuts. Venues include AMC River East 21 (322 E Illinois), Claudia Cassidy Theater (Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E Randolph St), Landmark (2828 N Clark), Music Box (3733 N Southport Ave), and The Chicago Theatre (175 N State St). Tickets are available in advance through Ticketmaster, at the CIFF Office at 30 E Adams, and at several additional locations. |
