The Hideout, perhaps Chicago’s favorite dive bar, is known for supporting the local music scene. It's also known for producing an awesome alternative music festival with a lineup that has included Calexico, Shellac, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Neko Case, the New Pornographers, Bloc Party, Art Brut, The Changes, The Frames, and Chicago’s own marching punk band, Mucca Pazza. All of them have performed on multiple stages in the block surrounding the bar. Proceeds from the event go to local charities. |
